What Does COWS Stand for?

C= Current Reference/ Print Material
– We have to find some information by book which is non-fiction
How can we do that?
1.Go to RIST website (http://www.rist.ac.th/redeemer/index.asp)
2.Put the cursor on the “Recourses” and click “Father Kane Library”
3.Click Search Catalog icon and you can type the name of the book that you want

O= Online Resources
– Now, search about your information by using internet
How can we do that?
1.Go to RIST website (http://www.rist.ac.th/redeemer/index.asp)
2.Put the cursor on the “Recourses” and click “Father Kane Library”
3.Click “Online Databases”
4.Click any icon that you want
* Before you go those websites, you get the passwords and id from librarian

W= Webliographies (Pre- Selected sites)
–similar to a bibliographies, but you get those from website
How can we do that?
1.Ask teacher to get the website
2.Get some URLs from the websites that teacher gives you
3.Go those websites and get more information

S= Search Engine
– Even though, you do those things above this, you will need some more information, so now you go to websites such as Google, Yahoo etc… to get some more ideas.
How can we do that?
1.Go to any search engine that you know (www.google.com, www.yahoo.com etc…)
2.Type your keywords of your information and get more information.*If you don’t know any search engine, you can go this website next to this sentence, so that you will know where to go and find some information. (http://www.whslibrary.com/majorsearchengines.htm)
